Moving to Newcastle

Removalists to Newcastle and the Hunter.

Moving to Newcastle or the Hunter from Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra or the Gold Coast? Port Removals & Storage are removalists to Newcastle, Maitland and Cessnock, with our own crews and trucks running the east coast from Melbourne to Rockhampton.

You deal with one Move Partner from the first call to the last box. They walk through your home with you on a video survey, you get a Fixed Price Move Plan in writing, and that is the price you pay.

How your move works

Three steps, one Move Partner.

1. Talk to your Move Partner

A quick walk-through of your home on a video survey, at a time that suits you.

2. Your plan, in writing

Your Fixed Price Move Plan arrives in writing, with the price and the dates.

3. Move day

Our own crew and truck load, drive and unload. You meet them at the other end.

Settling in

Settling into Newcastle and the Hunter.

Newcastle has changed a lot. Plenty of people now move into the inner suburbs around Merewether, The Junction, Hamilton and Cooks Hill, or to Lake Macquarie for a house near the water.

Further out, Maitland and its newer estates suit families who want space, and Cessnock puts you in wine country with an easy drive into town.

Many of our customers come down from Brisbane and the Gold Coast, or up from Melbourne and Canberra. Others are coming home after years away.

Older Newcastle homes often have narrow side access and sloping blocks. Your Move Partner checks access at both ends on the video survey. If the new place isn’t ready, your load waits in storage in Sydney or Port Macquarie until it is.

Storage at both ends

If the dates don’t line up.

If settlement or a lease doesn’t line up, your load goes into a secure storage module in Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Sydney or Brisbane for a week or a year, then back onto the truck when you’re ready.
