If you’re moving interstate from Brisbane, Port Removals & Storage can take you south to Sydney, Newcastle, Canberra or Melbourne, or to anywhere along the NSW coast. We have a yard in Brisbane, and our own crews and trucks run between Brisbane and Sydney all the time.
We collect from the whole of greater Brisbane, including Ipswich and the western corridor, Redcliffe, Caboolture and Bribie Island to the north. Your Move Partner sees your home on a video call and gives you a fixed price on that call.
Most interstate movers out of Brisbane are going to Sydney or the NSW coast. Melbourne and Canberra are longer runs, usually via the Newell Highway inland.

Brisbane to Sydney is our busiest southbound run, about 910 km down the Pacific Highway and the M1. We deliver to houses and apartments across Sydney and handle the lift and loading-dock bookings that many Sydney buildings require.
The trip to Melbourne is about 1,680 km, usually inland via the Newell Highway. It’s a long way for one load, so your Move Partner plans it around your dates and can hold your things in storage if Melbourne isn’t ready.
Canberra is about 1,200 km from Brisbane. Many of the people we move there are starting a government or defence posting, often with fixed start dates, so we plan the delivery around the day you need to be settled.
Newcastle is about 770 km south on the Pacific Highway. We deliver into Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland and the Hunter, including older homes with narrow side access.

Many Brisbane homes are high-set Queenslanders with steep front stairs, and plenty of townhouses and units have body corporate rules about when you can move and where the truck can park. Your Move Partner asks about stairs, driveways and parking on the video call.
Summer storms are common in South East Queensland from about November to March. Our crews wrap and cover furniture for the walk to the truck, and if the weather turns, they work around it rather than rushing.
Queensland doesn’t use daylight saving. From October to April, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne are an hour ahead, which is worth remembering when you plan delivery times at the other end.
