Port Removals & Storage are removalists from Sydney to Brisbane, and it’s the run our crews do more than any other. It’s about 910 km by road, up the M1 and the Pacific Highway through Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour and the Northern Rivers, then across the border into Queensland.

Your Move Partner sees your Sydney home on a video call and gives you a fixed price on that call. Our own movers load your furniture once and the same load is delivered in Brisbane. We have yards in Sydney and Brisbane, so storage is available at whichever end you need it.

Moving from NSW to QLD also means a time change from October to April. Queensland doesn’t use daylight saving, so Brisbane is an hour behind Sydney in those months.

In Brisbane, many homes are high-set Queenslanders with steep front stairs, and townhouse complexes often have body corporate rules on move times. Summer storms are common from November to March, so the crew wraps everything for the walk inside.

How long does a Sydney to Brisbane move take?+
It’s about 910 km, and the timing depends on whether your load goes by road or rail. Your Move Partner sets the pickup and delivery dates in your Fixed Price Move Plan.
What if my settlement dates don’t line up between Sydney and Brisbane?+
The first 2 weeks of storage are free on any move. Your load waits in our Sydney or Brisbane yard until you have the keys, then we deliver it.
Can you move part of a home from Sydney to Brisbane?+
Yes. We move whole homes and part loads. A smaller load can often travel with another move already going from Sydney to Brisbane, which your Move Partner will explain on the call.
What does the video survey involve?+
