The move

Moving from the Gold Coast to Melbourne.

Port Removals & Storage are removalists from the Gold Coast to Melbourne. It’s about 1,700 km, usually inland through Goondiwindi, Moree and Dubbo on the Newell Highway, then down the Hume.

Your Move Partner sees your Gold Coast home on a video call and gives you a fixed price on that call. Our own movers load once, and your load is delivered in Melbourne without being handed to another company. Our Brisbane yard is about an hour up the M1 if you need storage before you go.

It’s a long move, so your Move Partner plans it around both sets of dates and tells you on the call how the load will travel.

Included

What’s in every Gold Coast to Melbourne Fixed Price Move Plan.

  • A fixed priceGiven on the same-day video call, in writing.
  • Furniture taken apart and put back togetherBeds, tables and wardrobes.
  • First 2 weeks of storage freeOn any move, if your dates don’t meet.
  • One crew, loaded onceThe people who pack the truck are the people who unload it.

Both ends

The Gold Coast pickup and the Melbourne delivery.

On the Gold Coast, towers usually need the service lift booked, and some buildings only allow moves at set times. Hinterland homes around Tamborine can have steep access.

In Melbourne, many apartment buildings book lifts and loading bays in time slots, and inner-city streets often have permit or clearway parking. Melbourne is an hour ahead of the Gold Coast from October to April. Your Move Partner allows for all of this in your delivery plan.
