Our story

Built on a simple promise.

Port Removals & Storage started in 1992 as a family-run removalist out of Port Macquarie. Three decades later we still answer the phone the same way: with a real person who lives locally and treats your move like it matters — because it does.

Along the way we've grown the trucks, the team, the secure storage facility on Merrigal Road, and the way we plan a move. What hasn't changed is the standard we hold ourselves to. If a job isn't done properly, it isn't done.

1992

Port Removals begins

Founded as a family-run removalist serving Port Macquarie and surrounds, working from a single Bedford truck.

2001

Storage facility opens on Merrigal Road

A dedicated secure module storage facility opens so moves and storage can finally happen under one roof.

2009

Interstate routes launched

Regular interstate runs to Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Canberra — built on the same careful planning.

2018

Fixed Price Move Plans introduced

We move away from hourly quoting on most jobs — customers want certainty before the day, not a surprise bill after.

2026

Move Partner programme

Every job is now assigned a named Move Partner who you can call before, during and after moving day.
